Introduction to Youth Multisport Coaching
and Training Webinar
This webinar will help participants identify a basic conceptual framework for coaching/training youth multisport athletes. It will also address the background and significance of youth multi-sport as a way to improve youth fitness & health and help combat childhood physical inactivity and obesity. Finally participants will learn how to alignment of their youth coaching activities with USAT and NASPE (National Assoc. of Sport & PE) standards to ensure effective coaching strategies.
USAT coaches who wish to earn 1 CEU for this webinar must purchase the webinar and then complete the corresponding webinar exam. Coaches will pay $24.99 to view the webinar and if they wish to earn CEU credit would purchase the webinar exam for $9.99 for a total of $34.98 which includes viewing of the webinar and 1 CEU credit.
If you cannot attend this webinar at the specified time and date, you can register in advance and the complete webinar recording will automatically be emailed to you after it is completed.

Duston Morris, PhD, MS, CTRS, ACE-CPT, is a long-time personal trainer and USAT multisport coach. He is an assistant faculty member in the Department of Health Sciences at the University of Central Arkansas. Duston also coaches with Victory's Edge Training Systems, and is the Senior Vice President and Clinic Director for Alive With Mission Me, a not-for-profit organization committed to combating childhood obesity and increasing physical activity through the development of youth multisport curriculum and training programs. Duston has been recognized for his work in youth multisport, health prevention and promotion, and fitness/endurance training for youth and adults. |

Youth Triathlon 2-Day Coaching Clinics
This is a two-day interactive, educational clinic which will provide novice and experienced USAT coaches and other fitness professionals with real-time instruction regarding youth triathlon coaching, youth training, youth assessment, and youth program development. Participants will actively engage with numerous youth triathletes and will have an opportunity to lead various drills and activities. The primary focus of this clinic will be to help USAT coaches and other fitness professionals understand developmental training patterns for youth triathletes as well as learning how to design and implement their own youth coaching programs. Coaches will also have an opportunity to train with Infinity Multisport group following day one of the clinic!
USAT certified coaches earn 10 USAT CEUs and Service to the Sport Requirements for Re-Certification.
AMM Clinic Topics:
- Injury Prevention
- Training Guidelines
- Safety
- Triathlon Basic Terms and Principles
- Efficiency and proper biomechanics for swimming, cycling and running
- Bike safety and awareness
- Major Muscle Group activities to enhance upper, lower and core/balance
- The importance of practicing transitions (swim to the bike, bike to the run)

USAT Coaches and Fitness Professionals:
This Clinic and Coach Instruction Program provides coaches and fitness professionals with the following opportunities:
- USAT coaches receive 9.5-10 hours of hands-on youth clinic training; and 5.5-6 hours of direct USAT Coach Educational/Classroom Instruction on Youth in MultiSport.
- Increase their knowledge base regarding health-related issues of today's youth and how participation in multisport events can help eradicate youth physical inactivity and obesity.
- Understand the differences and needs of coaching youth multisport athletes.
- Learn risk management issues, liability and safety protocols.
- Ability to develop and implement their own youth clinics and camps using the AMM program and materials.
- Help coaches generate additional revenue by broadening their coaching scope to youth athletes.
Materials Required: The comprehensive AMM Youth MultiSport Clinic and Guide materials are included in your registration. The Guide will be used during the course and as the basis for conducting your own Youth Workshops.

Choose either day (Wednesday, July 27 or Thursday, July 28 OR Wednesday, August 3 or Thursday, August 4) for $250.00. USAT certified coaches earn 5 USAT CEUs.
